Summary: | Wireless communications in industrial scenario is complicated due to severe multipath propagation which causes significant signal distortions at receiver. Application of complex equalizers and error correcting codes is not appropriate since it limits the battery life of industrial devices. In this paper, the optimization problem with the constraint on the level of signal distortions caused by multipath propagation was formulated. An industrial channel was simulated in Matlab with the use of raytracing. The obtained optimal pulse provides reduction of signal distortion level by more than 80% compared to root raised cosine pulses. |
