Description
Summary:This study presents a novel multichannel olfactory display that utilizes an electroosmotic (EO) pump combined with an inkjet device to dispense odor components. The inkjet device's ability to release tiny liquid amounts (picolitres) significantly improves the dynamic range of odor blending. To ensure proper aroma delivery, a micro-ceramic heater was incorporated to evaporate the droplets ejected from the inkjet device. Additionally, the study examines the role of airflow in dispersing the evaporated samples, utilizing a DC fan to optimize airflow for uniform and consistent aroma distribution. A fan in front of the inkjet device showed stability better than that placed at the back side of the device.
