Summary:With the application of DC technology in transmission and distribution networks, the fault characteristics are different than AC, and the study of fault isolation equipment configuration scheme is conducive to improving the reliability of the system. In this paper, the short-circuit fault ride-through capacity and the fault removal process of fault isolation equipment in LVDC system are firstly analyzed. And then the effect of protection coordination under different fault isolation equipment configurations for inter-pole short-circuit faults on the DC side is analyzed, combined with the fault crossing of the converter. And a reliability calculation model is proposed, and the reliability of the actual system is calculated by MATLAB under different fault isolation equipment configurations. Finally fault isolation equipment configuration schemes corresponding to different reliability metrics are obtained by comparison.
