Summary:The majority of electrical devices nowadays run on batteries. As a result, rechargeable batteries gain popularity since they provide so many benefits over conventional single-use batteries. It lasts longer, is more economical, and is not harmful to the environment. As a result of the expanding use of electronic gadgets, there is a rising need for battery chargers and load testers, which check the performance of batteries. However, battery chargers that can be used on multiple battery types and perform both charging and discharging on a singular device are rare on the market. This project plans to develop a universal battery charger and load tester, consisting of a synchronous buck charger with auto voltage and current feedback control, auto detection of battery types with charging current to go up to 3A. Load testing circuit for common batteries such as Li-Ion and SLA batteries are included.
