Comparative examples a recited froin other industrialized countries. The social esteem engineers and engineering faculty areheldin, as compared to other professionals such as lawyers and medical doctors, may also have an underlying impact on the lack of societal pressure to reverse such declining trends. The study is concluded with a discussion of other relative effects of retirement benefits/pensions, wage busting, and finallist of practical recommendations for consideration and adoption at state and national leve1 . |
