Description
Summary:Future intelligent road networks will incorporate communications between vehicles and between vehicles and roadside beacons. The band between 63 and 64 GHz is attractive because of the potential for high bandwidths and the control of radio interference by exploitation of atmospheric attenuation. Implementation of such systems will require demonstration of a number of millimetre-wave technologies at an acceptable price. This paper describes the design, manufacture and demonstration of a variety of antennas and associated components for 63 GHz vehicular systems.
