description | The purpose of the given work is study of SMM OPL with the offered transversal mode selector. The availability of a quasioptical waveguide cavity with the offered transversal mode selector is demonstrated for the creation wide-range small-sized SMM optically pumped lasers. The control of the selector diaphragm diameter is executed without the disturbance of the laser action in any line of oscillation. At that no more than two lower modes remain over the threshold of oscillation. Due to small width of the gain line of SMM laser the single-mode action can be reached, as a rule, by tuning a cavity. The effective high mode suppression is obtained as well in the case of several cavity modes occur within of the gain contour simultaneously. |
