Summary: | Multi-wavelength in-fiber passband optical filters have numerous applications in fiber-optic communication. In this paper, we investigate superimposed Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) through computer modeling. We show that by superimposing several gratings on the same length of fiber, it is possible to obtain transmission spectra with multiple passband characteristics. Investigations were carried out by using non-traditional Method of Single Expression (MSE), which accurately describes the wave propagation in the stratified media by numerically solving the wave equation. |
