Fabrication of nonlinear photonic crystal fiber

A novel electrically assisted thermal poling technique was developed to fabricate nonlinear photonic crystal fibers. Domain period of 18.9 /spl mu/m was achieved with a length of more than 10 cm, which can be used as wavelength converter covering both C and L optical communication bands.
