This work proposes a hybrid scheme combining downlink beam-forming with transmit diversity in TDD-CDMA radio mobile system. This hybrid scheme is found to provide a significant gain over conventional beam-forming with the same complexity. This new hybrid scheme of smart antenna is analyzed and the simulation results are also given.
