Summary: | The fuzzy PID controllers are classified into three major categories: namely, direct action (DA) type, fuzzy gain scheduling (FFS) type, and hybrid type. When the gains of the conventional PID controller arc tuned on-link in terms of the knowledge base and fuzzy inference, while still the conventional PlD controller generates the control signal, the overall controllers of this category arc referred as "Fuzzy Gain Scheduling" (FGS) type. In this study, a new FGS method that is based on well-known internal model control (IMC) structure is proposed. Tic simulation results show that the proposed structure illustrates improvements in terms of fast response with less overshoot, small scuttling time and robustness. |
