Summary: | This paper is a contribution to the introduction of a new class of contactless remotely powered systems. To improve remotely powered device performances, like transmission data rates, power consumption and dynamic adaptation to environment, fully asynchronous systems are used. A new and specific event based communication is developed and tested with an inductive link coupling model. Post-layout simulations of the asynchronous self-adaptive to data rate tag test chip show that a downlink communication up to 1.2 Mbps is achieved with a global power consumption on tag below 120 /spl mu/W. |
