Microscopic theory of photoluminescence from semiconductor quantum dots in microcavities

The dynamics of spontaneous and stimulated emission from semiconductor quantum dots in pillar microcavities is studied within a theory-experiment comparison. The non-exponential decay of the time-resolved photoluminescence is addressed.
