Cross saturation dynamics of quantum dash optical amplifiers operating at 1550 nm

The cross-saturation dynamics of quantum-dash optical amplifiers were investigated and quantified in terms of spectral placement and modulation rate. The results point to the unique properties of these quantum wire like gain media.
