Summary: | In this work, the three in practice mostly used power amplifiers (PAs), namely the single-ended class AB, the balanced and the Doherty power amplifiers have been implemented for the modern RF mobile telecommunications system in base-station application, using the same LDMOS devices. Excellent performance have been obtained by all the three concepts. Comparing the experimental results, this paper gives an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of each individual power amplifier. |
