Electromagnetic Scattering from a 2-D Array of 3-D Metallic Objects

We present a formulation of a space-domain integral-equation (IE) method for the analysis of three-dimensional (3-D) metallic objects within a periodic two-dimensional (2-D) triangular lattice. The computation of the space-domain Green's function (GF) is accelerated using the Ewald transformati...

Description
Summary:We present a formulation of a space-domain integral-equation (IE) method for the analysis of three-dimensional (3-D) metallic objects within a periodic two-dimensional (2-D) triangular lattice. The computation of the space-domain Green's function (GF) is accelerated using the Ewald transformation. The method can be applied to a wide variety of free-standing metallic periodic structures, including planar frequency-selective surfaces, three-dimensional photonic crystals, and metamaterials
