Description
Summary:An attempt is made to develop a theoretical framework which explores the types of technology transfer most applicable to given forms of strategic alliances. The primary purpose of this study is to make the connection between technology transfer and strategic alliances. It is proposed that by highlighting the similarities and differences in both processes simultaneously, one can create a clearer distinction for, and advance the understanding of, both. When the multiple perspectives of strategic alliances (SAs) and technology transfer are contrasted simultaneously, a framework develops which can be used to explain specific weaknesses in each phenomenon and to identify areas for future exploration.< >
