Summary: | A dedicated frequency hopping non-coherent binary frequency shift keying spread spread spectrum multiple access communication system is proposed for portable mobile communication application. Address design useful for 4096 subscribers with a minimum co-channel interference has been carried out with extended prime number algorithm. The frequency hopped spread spectrum signal with BFSK is generated with aid of a numerically controlled synthesizer in the transmitter. The receiver consists of another synthesizer with a preassigned FH code that can be acquired and tracked by a serial search technique when the transmitted signal is received. The system occupies a conventional transponder bandwidth of 36 MHz. Using computer simulation, it is observed that the performance of the system is better than Pe=10/sup -3/ for 256 simultaneously active subscribers.< > |
