Description
Summary:Using data from the Variability of Coastal Atmospheric Refractivity (VOCAR) experiment, forecasts of near-coastal propagation conditions from a mesoscale weather prediction model are coupled to a range dependent propagation model. Various visualization techniques are used to investigate the results. Visualizations of both coastal meteorological features and their impacts on radio propagation have been made into a short video. Results show the natural variability of the propagation conditions during VOCAR and demonstrate the feasibility of such a coupled system for propagation assessment.< >
