Description
Summary:A 75% size reduction of a previously designed maze antenna has been achieved. The newly developed mini-maze compact antenna has been designed based on fractal structures and utilizes MEMS switches for reconfiguration. Utilization of the maze antenna structure symmetry has led to a significant reduction of the number of MEMS required for reconfiguration. In this paper, we utilize only two SPST switches to hop over three distinct wireless frequency bands. Modeled and measured results of the newly developed structure, including the effects of the switching elements and its feeding circuits, are presented here in detail
