Summary:Personal area network (PAN), which is owned by an individual user and which consists of interconnected terminals, is currently attracting attention as a key component of fixed and mobile convergence (FMC), or "ubiquitous" services. In this paper, we propose an authentication procedure that guarantees the validity of the peripheral terminals in a PAN, a NAPT-based session control method that solves the problems of the conventional SIP-based method, and a session handover method between terminals under the control of several independent mobility technologies
