Summary: | Frequency diversity (FD) is a technique that significantly improves radar detection performance in clear and under adverse weather conditions. With FD two or more conventional radar transceivers are combined through a common antenna, in a multiplex arrangement on the same RF transmission channel. Results from computer simulations show typically 40-60% improvement in terms of detection probability and 7 dB improvement in terms of signal noise ratio |
