Microwave (De)Multiplexer for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Non-Coherent High Data Rates Transceiver

Summary: | This paper deals with the investigation of a low-loss planar multiplexer/demultiplexer with adjacent frequency bands for the implementation of an ultra-wideband high data rates (UWB HDR) transceiver (3.1-10.6 GHz) based on impulse radio. A 3.1-4.25 GHz microstrip passive quadriplexer built upon 2nd order filters using open-loop resonators is first designed and implemented to initiate the transceiver prototype, as well as to anticipate the integration capability of a (de)multiplexer over the whole 3.1-10.6 GHz frequency band. Then, measurement results of the manufactured quadriplexer are presented in frequency and time domains to validate the proposed approach |
