Summary: | The wideband antenna device for electromagnetic field polarization characteristics research is presented in the report. The key features of the device are in its structure based on the use of wideband radiator (receiving antenna) that allows radiating (receiving) two waves with circular polarization of opposite directions at the same time and also a signal-processing channel. A plane two-thread spiral antenna with two excitation points is proposed as a wideband radiator. The type of radiator was chosen because of its ability to keep directional characteristics high in the wide frequency range, retain the invariable position of local phase center and constant input impedance. The signal-processing channel includes two frequency converters and narrowband summarizing-and-differentiating device. The following things are also presented in the paper: generalized form of electromagnetic field representation as the space-time vector signals; mathematical equations for the needed electromagnetic field polarization components isolation and their synthesis; the estimation of the errors that appear while calculating the structure of the electromagnetic field. There also a way of wideband omni-polarization antenna device calibration was recommended in the paper |
