Summary: | The goal of this research is to integrate a voice recognition system (VRS) into an electronic flight bag (EFB) for the specification of taxi-routes. To verify route feasibility, resolve certain ambiguities and provide limited `automatic repair' to a route that could not be fully interpreted, information regarding the possible route structures on the airport is used. The information from a speaker-independent voice recognition system is matched with information on the known possible routes on an airport. This provides an error detection and correction capability. A study was performed to evaluate the improvements that can be obtained |
