Reducing the effects of the finite absorption of the optical medium on the performance of the intensity-type refractometric transducer
We investigate experimentally the effects of absorption of the optical medium on the performance of the fiber-optical refractometric transducer. We show that the finite absorption of the optical medium that is being measured results in errors in the determination of the refractive index. We propose...

Summary: | We investigate experimentally the effects of absorption of the optical medium on the performance of the fiber-optical refractometric transducer. We show that the finite absorption of the optical medium that is being measured results in errors in the determination of the refractive index. We propose a new measurement method that permits to reduce these errors. |
