Description
Summary:In this paper, in order to reduce the complexity of the receiver, the receive antenna selection (AS) is applied to the systems with the differential space-time modulation (DSTM) scheme based on quasi-orthogonal space-time block coding (QO-STBC), in which four transmit-antennas and multiple receive-antennas are equipped at the transmitter and receiver, respectively. Then a novel selection rule for this system is derived based on the maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) criterion. The corresponding simulations are carried out to prove the performance of our proposed scheme with our derived selection rule. Results show that: (1) our proposed scheme combined with our derived selection rule can obtain better performance compared with the single receive antenna systems; (2) it has the same diversity and only a little loss in coding gain but much lower complexity compared with the multiple receive-antennas systems without receive antenna selection.
