Summary: | This paper presents a simple approximate technique for the time-domain analysis of a clipper-filter-ideally predistorted power amplifier cascade. We prove that the Bussgang's theorem approximately holds for the in-band component of a multicarrier signal distorted by the cascade under consideration. Closed-form expressions for both the attenuation coefficient and nonlinear noise power are given. Although our analysis is based on the approximate representation of the clipped-filtered multicarrier signal, the given simulation results agree well with those obtained analytically. |
