Summary:In this paper, we propose an improvement in the design of TE 01 -mode converter to achieve more bandwidth and higher mode purity. The initial design is carried out by analytical formulations. The design is optimized for minimum return loss and maximum coupling and bandwidth and mode purity by numerical simulation using HFSS. The results are validated by cold test measurement.
