Summary: | Compression of ultrashort laser pulses via dispersion management in chirped mirrors is investigated both theoretically and numerically. The model developed is able to show direct pulse shape changes due to pulse- mirror interaction; estimate reflected pulse parameters when we use a particular chirped mirror design. We showed basic features of compression process using a simple example of widely applicable intracavity dispersion compensation techniques with chirped mirrors in Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser. Also we showed the role of undesirable group delay oscillations in chirped mirror provoke a pulse distortions. Developed model is able not only analysis of chirped mirror but also may helps to design a mirror structure. |
