Summary:The voice sound quality spoken by the esophageal speech is usually very low grade. Due to using the esophagus instead of the glottis in the case of the esophageal speech, the voice sound quality of the vowels is generally much inferior than that of consonants. In order to improve the voice sound quality spoken by the esophageal speech, it is important to improve the voice sound quality of the vowels. This paper describes the method to extract the vowels in the continuous speech signal spoken by the esophageal speech.
