Simultaneous observation of multiple four-wave mixing processes in the phase-matched and non-phase-matched regimes
In this paper, we observe simultaneously three different FWM processes involving various types of phase-matching due to the dispersion properties of a new 3.1 km-long dispersion shifted fiber. The fiber has a zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDW) of 1549 nm and is pumped by a 1.3 W continuous-wave (CW) R...

Summary: | In this paper, we observe simultaneously three different FWM processes involving various types of phase-matching due to the dispersion properties of a new 3.1 km-long dispersion shifted fiber. The fiber has a zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDW) of 1549 nm and is pumped by a 1.3 W continuous-wave (CW) Raman fiber laser (RFL) as well as a 500 mW CW erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL). The EDFL is tunable across the ZDW from 1530 to 1565 nm and also generates a broad incoherent component due to amplified stimulated emission (ASE). |
