Summary:In Wireless Local Area network (WLAN), fairness is an important issue. The rise of unfairness is reviewed from two aspects: per-flow and per-station. The purpose of this paper is to succinctly review recent progress in TCP fairness in WLAN. In order to better understanding of the research challenges of fairness, this article provides a detail analysis of this issue. Overall, the paper summarizes the current state of knowledge of the WLAN TCP fairness.
