Summary: | In this letter, we propose joint transmitter and receiver design for V-BLAST schemes based on a novel pre- whitening detector (PWD). By using interference cancellation and a Gaussian approximation, the proposed PWD is able to transform the MIMO system into several parallel SISO schemes to realize single symbol detection, obtaining near optimal signal recovery with a complexity similar to MMSE-DFE. By assuming full channel knowledge at the transmitter side, the precoder to minimize the SER of this system can be constructed by finding the derivative of complex matrices and using gradient descent minimization methods. It can further improve the performance without affecting the complexity at receiver side. |
