Description
Summary:The paper presents the application of instantaneous frequency (IF) analysis on non-synchronized and non stationary EMG signals measured voluntarily on subjects across a period of 10 weeks. The scope of this paper is basically to demonstrate the use of a simple technique of resampling on the IF profile for synchronization of variable length epochs of EMG data so that they are aligned across each other and thus it becomes easier to study state relevant changes. The findings are presented and discussed, which suggests a link between motor unit synchronization just prior to the torque rise. The results also suggest a link between number of active FT fibers and torque states.
