Description
Summary:Although not being distinctive enough to be used for identification, height is long used in forensics to narrow the set of suspects. Similarly, it can be used in video surveillance systems to select from few possible identities in inevitable situations when somebody comes into sight from a blind spot. A video sensor measuring height can be also used in different ways in intelligent space systems. In this paper we introduce our results in measuring height of people tracked on calibrated camera images.
