Description
Summary:This paper presents a theory to design super narrow band pass optical filters using fractal Cantor multilayer structure without defect and fractal Cantor multilayer structure with embedded defect. It is shown that the width of transmission peaks can be narrowed by increasing the number of periods of the structure, while the number of peaks can be increased by either embedding defect layer in the structure or by successive repetition of the structure.
