description Although many researches have been devoted to the development of proper watermarking procedures using multiresolution-based transformation, most of these investigations encounter watermarking problems from a specific point of view. Therefore, there is a lack of a general investigation dedicated to the study of parameter selections and their impacts on the transparency and robustness of the final watermarked image. In this paper, common and different filter banks used for decomposition of two dimensional signals, the depth of data embedding with respect to wavelet decomposition levels and of course the impact of these parameters on the robustness of algorithms are studied to find the optimum conditions for watermarking procedures.
