Description
Summary:In this paper we present a hierarchical multiple attributes decision making model for manufacturing system based on approximate reasoning. This methodology is based on fuzzy logic theory. Given its hierarchical structure, the model is constituted from several blocks representing fuzzy subsystems with inputs as measurement indicators (attributes) and outputs as performance indicators. Decisions variables (inputs and outputs) are set out in linguistic form corresponding to expert's judgment and highlight the decision maker subjectivity. The model contributes to assess the overall performance of the manufacturing system. It is notably evaluated looking through the performance of subsystems (human and material resources, flexibility, lead-time, quality, inventory cost, manpower cost and manufacturing overheads). The objective is to set up a decision making support. A simulation of scripts is presented to test the proposed model capability.
