description | RealVideo9 is one of the most popular video formats on the Internet, so it is necessary for multi-media chip developers to support this format. But it is quite a great challenge for them because of the difficulty in its real-time implementation. In order to realize real-time decoding on CC1100, this paper proposes a series of novel case-table-searching algorithms focusing on the optimization of RealVideo9 intra prediction 4 times 4, which also supports extended utilization in H.264 intra prediction 4 times 4. The proposed Algorithm 1 is designed to save the CPU cycles exhausted by each pixel prediction mode while Algorithm 2 is to remove the judgments used in the phase of data preparation. Experimental results show significant improvement in terms of both average CPU performance and the worst case. |
