Summary: | In this paper, we present the application of the hybrid boundary element/finite element method to solve the electromagnetic absorption problem involving inhomogeneous media under the far field source radiation conditions. The hybrid method is assessed in relation to memory storage requirements, discretization density for accuracy, and its capability to solve the problems concerning complicated biological structures. As a specific application of the method, computation for the case of the human head under plane wave illumination is presented.< > |
