Summary:In this work is presenting a reactive homopolar synchronous machine with stator excitation (RHSMSE) destined to operate as generator for hydroelectric or wind power stations of low and middle power or as servomotor with reduced inertia. By means of the equivalent magnetic circuits method is deduced a mathematic model based on which is simulated the main measures that features the machinepsilas operation. Based on simulations, is deduced an optimization method for designing that minimizes the manufacturing cost and maximizes the efficiency.
