Summary:In this paper, based on the configuration of leaky coaxial cable (LCX) with vertical slots, combined with related electromagnetic radiation theory, the radiated field of LCX in free space is analyzed by the method of Cylinder Fourier Transform. Further more, a rectangular tunnel is taken for example to calculate coupling loss of LCX in the blind zone with the use of ray-tracing method. The material of the wall of the tunnel that affects coupling loss in the tunnel is also discussed. The algorithm and the theory proposed in this paper can be extended in other kinds of blind zone, which are provided for the application of LCX in order to realize mobile communication in the blind zone.
