Summary: | In this paper, a new multilayered CMF which consists of two helical lines with LTCC technology is presented for the first time. The pattern of each positive coil is interlaced with that of each negative coil. The coils consist of a pair of 3D helical lines, and each of them has only half a turn on each layer. A novel improvement of the helical structure is proposed, which adopts the twisted coil pattern to separate the vias of each coil, and the other part of the coils in different layers are overlapped. This structure produces the excellent design characteristics of large common mode attenuation and low differential mode insertion loss. In addition, the size of the CMF is very small, easily meeting the requirement of size reduction of RF components. The CMF with this structure has been patented. |
