Summary:This paper presents the technique to improve radiation performance of folder type mobile phone by using the hinge contact structure with the capacitive gap. Variation of the efficiency due to the change of capacitive gap distance is analyzed and the optimized distance is derived. The efficiency obtained from simulation results is compared with that from measurement to verify the proposed method.
