Silicon nanocrystal formation via laser ablation in liquid media
This study demonstrates the formation of silicon nanocrystals via laser ablation using a 1064 nm picosecond Nd:YAG laser in liquid media (water, glycerol, and liquid nitrogen). Atomic force microscopy is used to determine the particle size distribution. A 520.5 cm -1 line in the Raman spectroscopy i...

Summary: | This study demonstrates the formation of silicon nanocrystals via laser ablation using a 1064 nm picosecond Nd:YAG laser in liquid media (water, glycerol, and liquid nitrogen). Atomic force microscopy is used to determine the particle size distribution. A 520.5 cm -1 line in the Raman spectroscopy is revealed which is an evidence of the crystalline phase of the nanoparticles. |
