Summary: | Mobile ad hoc network consists of collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a network without the use of any existing network infrastructure. Each node act as both host and router and communicate with other if they are within the radio range. The dynamic topology of wireless mobile ad hoc networks make routing is challenging one. Routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) have been explored extensively in recent years. Much of this work is targeted at finding a feasible route from a source to a destination without considering current network traffic or application requirements [Chen and Heizelman,2005]. This paper uses an agent based model of QoS aware routing protocol is the use of the approximate bandwidth and delay estimation to react to network traffic. Our approach implements these schemes by using three agents maintenance agent, monitoring agent and route discovery agent in which maintenance agent manages the overall activities of both monitoring agent and route discovery agent. Monitoring agents are employed to monitor the resources as well as link. Whereas route discovery agent discover the link between the mobile nodes, perform routing information fusion and build precomputed paths so that mobile users can communicate with each other based on the requirements (bandwidth and delay aware) of the network users. |
