Summary: | We present results of the end user study evaluating tools that use two distinct approaches to developing ontology from text material. Our aim was to examine a current state of support for a widespread assumption in many semantic Web application domains, such as eLearning, that the domain ontologies will be developed by not-ontology-savvy users. The results show that the users had hard time to use the tools and the ontologies produced are mostly of poor quality. The findings provide directions for the future development of ontology extraction tools. |
