Radar cross section of multilayer patch and aperture coupled patch antennas

The monostatic radar cross section of multilayer patch and aperture coupled patch antenna elements is studied. These elements can be designed to provide better impedance performance than conventional microstrip antennas but also suffer from higher RCS levels.
