Description
Summary:As Internet, with its heterogenity features, is increasingly used for the transmission of multimedia content, evaluation and modelling of certain segments of Internet is becoming more and more complex. Measurements carried out in year 1997, show that Web traffic generated on the Internet as a result of not using multicast techniques while establishing a seperate communication relationship with each recipient, represents 18% of the overall traffic. This example highlights the need for suitable communication model that is capable of minimizing traffic based on which a continuous analysis of new protocols could be performed. Providing more services over the same network has a great influence on scalability, performances and it's price. Multicast enables to a thousands of end users sharing the same content avoiding network and server overload. This paper observes multicast network through its value using parameters from past time, in present and future. Interdisciplinary dynamic approach is used and introduced data confirms conclusions as process elements in development of multicast network. Models used in this paper are simplified models of real discreet stochastic systems which represent one of the most popular research areas.
